Artist Statement:

I see my creative process as an extension of my interest in anthropology. I work closely with people who are infinitely fascinating, I create "artifacts", some of which will no doubt endure well into the future, and I use at least some ancient techniques. I feel that my designs are both an outgrowth of and an influence on the current living culture. Jewelry has been worn by every known past and present social group, usually somehow reflecting their relationship with their environment. Hopefully, working with materials from all around the world, we can help build a growing global consciousness.
